Multi-Cylinder Cone Crushers: Setting Stability for Fine Crushing

The multi-cylinder hydraulic cone crusher rings its frame with hydraulic cylinders for setting adjustment, tramp iron release and chamber clearing, and crushes on the lamination principle. It is the platform our range offers for fine and extra-fine duties — the duties where product grading is sold by specification and a setting that wanders is a product that fails.

The multi-cylinder design, in full

The design works on the lamination — inter-particle — crushing principle: the chamber is kept full, and material is crushed against material as much as against the liners. The combination of rotational speed and stroke raises the throughput the chamber passes at a given setting, and the crushed product's quality improves with it: a higher proportion in the target fraction and better particle shape for graded aggregates. Around that chamber, the hydraulic systems do the machine's daily work. The closed side setting is adjusted hydraulically, with a hydraulic motor driving the fixed cone's rotation. Tramp iron is protected against hydraulically, through dual-direction tramp release hydraulic cylinders, and a packed chamber is cleared hydraulically instead of by digging. The sealing is a non-contact labyrinth arrangement that keeps the lubricating oil clean without water sealing, and wear parts can be dismantled from the top or the side of the machine. Chamber configuration converts across the range from short-head extra-fine to standard extra-coarse, and the crushers can be connected to a DCS automatic control system for plants running centralised control.

Capacity, stated with its conditions

Capacity figures mean nothing without their basis, so the basis is stated here exactly as the published tables state it: the multi-cylinder range's published capacities are given at a loose feed density of 1.6 t/m³, in open-circuit operation; closed-circuit operation typically runs 15%–30% higher. Any quotation discussion for this platform holds to those conditions — feed density and circuit type named next to the figure — because a capacity quoted without them is a number about a different machine in a different plant. When you send a duty for quotation, the same discipline applies in reverse: tell us your feed's character honestly, and the configuration recommended will be the one whose published basis matches your circuit.

Installed and in commissioning

This machine line is not a paper range. The first machine of the line was completed in installation and entered commissioning at its site, recorded in the company's news pages — the stage at which a crusher design stops being a specification and becomes production evidence. Machines are supplied with the service scope that decides whether nameplate capacity shows up in production: technical consultation, system design, installation, commissioning, maintenance and operator training, from the same team that built the machine.

Multi-cylinder or single-cylinder?

This page covers the multi-cylinder platform only. The single-cylinder platform — described in the company’s equipment pages by higher crushing efficiency, lower production cost and better product quality — has its own page at single-cylinder cone crushers, and the family overview, architecture comparison and selection logic sit on the cone crushers and hydraulic cone crushers pages. The short version: multi-cylinder is the choice when the plant runs closed circuit, sells graded product, or crushes abrasive feed where setting drift costs saleable tonnes; the single-cylinder platform is taken up through the same quotation route, on the published description its own page states.

Wear parts and support

The platform's wear programme comes from the same factory: mantle and concave sets profiled for its chambers from short-head extra-fine to standard extra-coarse, and the mechanical spares of the spare parts programme identified by model and part number. The first wear set is specified with the machine and the critical spares agreed before shipment. Delivery on FOB, EXW, CIF or FCA terms; payment by T/T or L/C. Certificates available upon request.

Send the duty for a multi-cylinder configuration

Send the feed material and top size, the target product and grading, the required capacity and whether the circuit runs open or closed, and we will recommend a configuration with its capacity stated under declared feed conditions in the quotation.
