Vibrating Screens: Where the Crushing Circuit Is Won or Lost

A crusher only makes the sizes the screen lets it. Our vibrating screen line completes the crushing circuit — scalping run-of-mine feed ahead of the primary crusher, checking cone crusher product in closed circuit, and finishing graded aggregates to specification.

The screen's three jobs

In a typical Luckcome-supplied flowsheet the vibrating screen works at three points. Ahead of the jaw crusher, a scalping deck removes fines and soil that would otherwise pack the jaw chamber and waste crushing power. In closed circuit with the cone crusher, the screen is the quality gate: material at or below the target size leaves as product, oversize returns to the crusher — and it is the screen's efficiency, not the crusher's setting alone, that fixes the circulating load. At the end of the line, finishing screens split the product into the graded fractions the customer sells, from manufactured sand feed to coarse concrete aggregate.

Screening equipment and crusher supply, together

Plants are usually bought as components and integrated by the owner, which is where mismatches appear: a cone crusher whose capacity outruns its check screen, or a screen whose top deck blinds on the jaw crusher's slabby product. Because we supply the jaw crushers, cone crushers, gyratory crushers and screens as one equipment family, the circuit can be specified as a system — feed size, cut points, deck arrangement and crusher chamber chosen together, with capacity figures stated under the same feed conditions across the line.

Screen parts and support

Screening sits inside our broader mining machinery parts support: the same catalogue discipline — part number or drawing, confirmed fit, quoted lead time — applies to screen spares requested with crusher parts orders, so a plant can consolidate its wear and spare shipments with one supplier. Technical consultation, system design, installation, commissioning and operator training are available across the equipment range, which matters most at the screen: deck media selection and spray arrangement decide whether a correctly sized screen actually performs.

Specify a screen

To recommend a screen configuration we need the feed gradation (or the crusher it follows), the cut points you sell to, the target capacity and whether the duty is dry or washed. Send those four items and we will propose a configuration with the crusher pairing it assumes — and if a screen alone is what you need, minimum-order and lead-time terms follow the same catalogue rules as our parts business: confirmed per quotation, shipped FOB, EXW, CIF or FCA, payment by T/T or L/C.

Screen condition is crusher condition

Maintenance teams often meet the screen only when a deck blinds or a bearing complains, yet screen condition quietly governs the crushers around it. A scalping deck passing oversize fines into the jaw chamber wastes crushing power and accelerates jaw plate wear; a check screen with worn or blinded media lets oversize into the product and starves the cone crusher of the choke-fed chamber it is designed for, or overloads it with recirculating fines. When you specify screening equipment or spares with us, the conversation therefore includes the crushers on both sides of the screen — feed gradation in, cut points out — because a screen correctly matched to its neighbours shows up in the plant's numbers as crusher capacity that was there all along. Ask for that circuit view on the enquiry; it costs nothing and regularly finds the cheapest tonnes in the plant.

Send us your part number or drawing

Quotes are prepared against your model, part number or dimension drawing. Minimum order is 1 piece on most catalogue parts — like the current lead time, it is confirmed with your quotation (typically within 15 workdays in peak season and about one month in the off-season).
